Edelweissspitze stands as a remarkable testament to the beauty and challenge of the Austrian Alps. This Deux Mille col, reached via a detour on the ascent to Grossglockner Hochtor, is a destination that combines breathtaking panoramas with a test of cycling mettle.
The route to Edelweissspitze follows the northern ascent of Hochtor, but is a detour a few kiloemters from the top. The summit provides a 360-degree vista, showcasing a sea of peaks, valleys, and, on clear days, the distant shimmer of glaciers. It’s the highest point of all the Deux Mille cols in the area.
