Deux Mille is all about the highest cols in Europe; those above 2,000 meters. Everything below is considered a recovery ride ;)
Deux Mille is dedicated to celebrating and documenting the Europe's cycling climbs above 2,000 meters. We bring together a community of passionate cyclists who share a common goal: conquering the highest cols and pushing the limits of endurance.
Deux Mille began as a passion project a decade ago, born from the thrill of chasing Europe's 2,000m+ cols - timeless peaks that evoke epic rides and unbreakable bonds among cyclists. Today, it unites riders through national team rivalries, Strava-synced challenges for year-round adventures, personal dashboards, global rankings, and discovery of legendary ascents. The name came to us as we reached our first Deux Mille col, Col de la Croix de Fer, at 2,067 meters.
In 2023, Maximilian Schnell completed the Deux Mille Challenge, cycling all 198 paved roads over 2,000m in the Alps and Pyrenees self-supported, covering 10,009 km and 259,570m elevation in 72 days. Started in Luz-Saint-Sauveur, ended August 12 on Col du Galibier. The challenge is subject to become a documentary. By Jan-26 the production is on-going.
Deux Mille proudly holds EU trademark registration for the wordmark DEUX MILLE, covering classes 9 (software), 25 (clothing), and 41 (education/entertainment). Registered with basic fee for one class, extended across the European Union.

High-Altitude World Championships were introduced as pure climber event. Only including cols above 2,000 meters, riding self-supported, ascent-only race were the dogmas. No descents, no fluff, just raw climbing grit.

A guys' challenge led us to Col de la Croix-de-Fer, where a local said the words, which ignited the community: Deux mille soixante sept. We went back home, started listing all paved cols over 2,000 meters and here we are.
