CHALLENGE 

Val Martello makes perhaps the most excellent conclusion to a Deux Mille climb. The final kilometer consists of continuous hairpin turns, featuring steep inclines well beyond the 10% mark. This climb is a challenging and rewarding experience for col-hunters, and it’s particularly famous for being a tough climb in the Italian Alps. Val Martello, also known as Martelltal in German, is a beautiful valley located in the South Tyrol region of Italy. It’s a popular destination for cyclists due to its stunning scenery, challenging ascents, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with conquering its steep slopes.

The climb is not just about the physical challenge; it’s also a scenic journey. You’ll pass through picturesque alpine landscapes with lush green meadows, dense forests, and often see snow-capped peaks in the distance.
